@SpaceFactor, we are dedicated in assisting our customers to enjoy their journey of designing and building their spaces with us. This mean providing relevant information and being transparent throughout the process, making sure they are our partners from the beginning to the end, resulting in beautiful spaces that are exactly what they envision it to be.

To meet the above-mentioned objectives, Space Factor frequently organizes events such as workshops, seminars and meet-the-designers events that is generally open to the public. At times, we would also include our partners who provide related services and products to any renovation projects. Event Synopsis

Back by popular demand! Mind Your Home Journey @ Space Factor (Version 2) workshop promises to assist new homeowners to navigate the fascinating world of interior design and immerse them on their exciting journey of building their dream home!

WORKSHOP FORMAT

Organized by Space Factor Group, the workshop is conducted in a group-based discussion format that enables homeowners to exchange ideas with as well as hear concerns of other homeowners. An interior designer will also be assigned to the group and elaborate further the main speaker’s topic. Some topics we will touch on are;

  • what potential issues will likely to occur in the renovation journey,
  • what are the various interior design styles,
  • how to furnish their home to complement their home design,
  • the various types of building materials,
  • budgeting their home project,
  • learn about home automation and see if it is really worth it,
  • as well as how to work with interior design firms to build their dream home.

Held on a Saturday, participants will be provided with a tea break and during which can mingle with the interior designers and various partners to ask questions pertaining to their home design. The speakers for the workshops will include interior designers, building products designers and builders that are integral to completing a home design and renovation project.

What is home automation and is it really worth it? How to make different smart products work together? Is it a need or a want? Will it improve the quality of life? Is my privacy and home safe from hackers? Come get any question you may have about home automation answered in this session!

Making Decisions & Solving Problems (Group Discussion

Facilitated by Mr. Eric Tan, Projects Management

Want to know how an interior designer would manage projects? What decisions the interior designers CANNOT make for you? What to do when things go wrong? Hear how you can prevent miscommunication, avoid common project issues and get answers to your questions in this session.

Design Trends, Tips & Materials (Group Discussion)

Facilitated by Ms. Dolly Teo, Chief Designer

Which design style best suit your family’s lifestyle? What are the characteristics of the different types of design materials (such as tiles type, laminates and etc)? How to furnish your home to complement the interior design? Come exchange ideas with other homeowners and learn more on design tips and design trends in this session.
2:15 PM – 2:30 PM
Questions & Answer Session

Speakers Panel & Various Designers

Ask questions related to your home project and meet with a designer who will help you plan your home renovation project in this session.

While the workshop is open free to the public, it is limited to 40 participants and attendance is strictly by confirmation of registered participants only.

You will also be assigned to a designer that will discuss with you on how to best proceed on your new home’s design and renovation.

This event is suitable for homeowners that want to get rid of their design envy of their friends’ home and enjoy the exciting journey of building their dream homes (and avoid nightmarish scenarios).

Terms & Conditions (CapitaLand Vouchers).

  • SGD50 CapitaLand Vouchers will be for homeowners that brought along their home floor plan AND had arranged for an interior design consultation appointment with the assigned designer on a date that is after the event day.
  • Homeowner must be a participant that attended the workshop on 27 July 2019.
  • The Voucher will be given to the homeowner on the day of the interior design consultation appointment.
  • Only one voucher per home will be given.

So You Think You Can Design?

Event Synopsis

Do you have a passion for design? Do you get excited when you talk about your dream home? Have you ever considered a career in interior design? Or perhaps you are already in the ID industry, but is looking for a change of environment?

If you answered “Yes” to any of the above, come join us for a career exploratory session organised by the Space Factor Group in partnership with SkillsFuture Festival 2019 on the 27th of July 2019 at the Singapore National Museum.

WORKSHOP FORMAT

The session will touch on the following;

  • The Good, the Bad and the Ugly in the ID industry.
  • The difference between an interior designer, an interior artist, and a sales designer.
  • The personality and skill sets required to be a designer.
  • The remuneration and career progression prospects in the industry.
  • The future of Singapore’s ID industry.

The session’s format will be conducted as a talk and a Q&A session will follow thereafter. We can also arrange a 1-on-1 session if any of the participants are interested to find out more about a career with Space Factor or have any questions that they wish to ask privately.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

  • Fresh ID school graduates without any working experience… yet.
  • PMETs that are seeking a mid-career change.
  • People already in the ID industry but is looking for a change of environment (or company).

TERMS:

  • Attendance is STRICTLY by registration only.
  • Registered participants will receive the confirmation of their seats at least two days prior to the event.
  • Please register any of your companions that will be attending with you separately.
  • The organizer reserves the rights to reject any registration that submitted incomplete information and fictitious contact details.
